O książce Notes from the execution UA

Ansel Packer, a serial killer, is to be executed in twelve hours. His chaplain advises him to accept what cannot be changed. But the countdown is the most difficult part of punishment, even if it is deserved. What was Ansel's life like? Does he have any regrets? Three women will tell the man's story. Lavender, who did not know that motherhood could be so cruel and that her son would grow up to be a monster. Detective Sheffy, who put all her strength into the fight for justice. A twin sister in mourning. It's not about a criminal whose image society tries to romanticise, but about the poisonous justice system, the destructive kindness, the complexity of human life. And about strong women who are capable of more.
